Getting to the studio
Our studio is located at 1010 W 35th Street, Suite 560, Chicago IL 60605.
The building is shared with Cube Smart Storage, among other businesses.
There is free parking on the west side of the building, and the building entrance is located near the parking lot on the west side. You can let yourself in the building, and take either elevator to the 5th floor.
If the lot is full, there is street parking on the south side of 35th st, as well as on Aberdeen st.
One of our staff members will be onsite to greet you.

What’s included with my booking?
Aside from the space itself, we provide the basic equipment needs for most shoots. Included with your booking are C stands, light stands, clothing racks, power distribution, sand bags, makeup vanity, rolling desks and more.
How do I connect to WiFi?
Our SSID is South Facing Windows and the password is 101035560. Service is provided by SilverIP
Can I play music at the studio?
We have Sonos speakers available for you to use during your booking. You can connect via AUX cable, or if you have an Apple product, you can use AirPlay to play music from any app to the speakers. You must join the wifi network before using AirPlay.
Cleaning & Trash
We provide a trash bin for your waste, but if you notice it’s overflowing after your booking, please take the trash to the bins located near the loading dock.
Some nearby places for food & coffee
Antique Taco is right next to our building, and is a great place to grab lunch or dinner. Also nearby is Phils Pizza, Marz Brewing Company, Kimski, Pizza Fried Chicken Ice Cream, and much more.
You can quickly grab coffee from 8A5E (BASE) nearby in the Bridgeport Arts Center building, or on the way to the studio from Bridgeport Coffeehouse or The Stockyard Coffeehouse. Links to locations for all of these places are below:

Studio Rules
Please familiarize yourself with the rules below:
No smoking allowed inside the studio or premises.
No misconduct, including causing a nuisance to other clients, mistreatment of South Facing Windows staff, illegal activity, destruction/vandalism of South Facing Windows & Bluestar equipment or facilities.
Food and drink must be limited to areas with hard floors/concrete and away from sets/props/equipment, carpet, and couch.
Moving furniture is not allowed.
No confetti or glitter is allowed in the studio.
Renters are not permitted to organize events, galleries or parties of any kind without explicit consent of South Facing Windows staff.
The use of fog machines or artificial atmosphere must be approved by SFW staff.
Be mindful of your booking start & end times and communicate with staff if you’re going to be late or need to extend a booking.
Please clean up after your booking and leave the space in the same condition as you arrived. If you have excess trash or waste, please take it to the dumpsters outside by the loading dock.
